Brooks
Brooks are a large, firm red cherry that tolerates hot climates. The Brooks variety is sweet, rich and well balanced with a firmness close to that of the Bing.
The Brooks variety was developed by the University of California. Brooks ripen ahead of Bing and is available in the early weeks of California cherry harvest which begins in mid-April.
Our orchard contains the Brooks variety as a pollenizer to help the Coral Champagne variety set a good crop.
